ANGER IS NUMBER ONE ENEMY OF HUMAN BEINGS.

ANGER IS THE NO.1 ENEMY OF HUMANBEING AMONG THE THREE ENEMIES NAMELY ANGER, LUST, EGO , ANGER IS THE MAIN ONE WHICH PUT US IN MANY DIFFICLTIES and it is a mental habit and its origin has two factors - internal, the result of the particles of anger and external, situation and environment. Types of Internal Causes 1. Rise of Karma One cause for anger is the rise of Karma. It can be called non-cause because it comes without any outside reason. In Agama it is called the self-established anger . Sudden anger is an example of this. 2. Acidity All aggression is due to it. It causes excitement also.It is the internal factor responsible for anger. Those who have higher acidity will be more irritable. 3. Mental Disequilibrium - When mind is not balanced and healthy then anger comes easily. 4. Ego - one of the main internal causes for anger. Normally when there is a blow on ego the person can not tolerate it. He becomes angry. Higher the ego, angrier a man becomes. 5. Ill Health - Physical ill health or weakness is a cause . 6. Stress - A stressful person becomes angry easily. If we analyse factors responsible for anger, we can see four factors: Land, House, Body and Material. External Causes 1. Food - The nature of food one takes has a very big relation. In the Geeta three types of personalities are described on the basis of food habits. Exciting food items become the source of anger, whereas the Satvik food provides nutrition to the body. 2. Obstacle in Desire Fulfillment - obstacle or noncooperation in the fulfillment of desire becomes the source of anger. Apart from the above, money etc. also become a sources of anger. We can avoid these sources but removing them is not in our control. However, the information about causes is necessary so that one can avoid them and try to prevent and manage the disease. Apart from causes, it is necessary to know about the results of anger. Results of Anger The effect of anger falls not only on the body but also on mind, emotions, personality, attitude, behaviour and human relations, i.e.; family, society and institutions. It is necessary to draw our attention towards its severe ill-effects. He who is result-oriented does not commit sins or remains away from negative emotions. Anger is a negative emotion. Therefore, information about its deadly results can save a person from the deadly sin. On Physical Level Anger creates problems of peptic ulcer and gastritis, cardiac diseases, High Blood pressure, headache, migraine etc.The level of cholesterol and blood sugar increases. The heart-rate and breath-rate increases and become irregular.Digestive system becomes dull and disturbed.Mental capacity reduces and there is a definite ill-effect on decision-making ability.Nervous system and endocrine system gets disbalanced. On Mental Levels Mental balance gets disturbed.Mental faculties - memory, imagination, contemplation etc. - depreciate.Concentration power reduces. Psychic development stops.Extra Sensory Perception Power does not awaken. On Various Levels Soul is polluted. Bad deeds are attracted. Emotional health weakens. Character is lost. Moral behaviour misses. Attitude is distorted. Human relations are spoilt. There is a long queue of enemies. One has to face insults in social life. In short, the existence, personality and duties become dull and a painful situation is created for self and for others. Can We Win Anger? A psychiatrist gets patients of anger quite frequently. These patients are very irritable. Sometimes they try to commit suicide or become mad. To reduce these extreme effects these patients are given tranquilizers or sleeping pills which reduce the problem for a while. But long and continuous administration of these medicines causes severe psychosomatic diseases. Medicines are not providing a permanent solution to the problem. Permanent Solution Meditation is the best Tranquilizer. There is nothing better. Its effect is permanent. It is a beautiful way of stopping insanity. Meditation plays a very big role in controlling anger. While the effect of scientific instruments and medicines remains at the level of brain only, the effect of Dhyan is on the body as well as on the vibrations of mental habits. Therefore, it provides a permanent solution. It is not easy for everyone. But Acharya Mahaprajna says that at least the person should be able to control his anger. Strategy of Controlling Anger 1. Meditation on Pineal Gland - the Melatonin Hormone of pineal gland is responsible for emotional changes like anger, fear etc. The meditation white color on pineal gland can control the anger. 2. Rabbit Pose - the excitement of anger is through adrenal gland. Rabbit pose controls the secretions of adrenal. Therefore a good solution to control anger. 3. Deep Breath - normally a person takes 15 breaths in a minute. During physical pain, fever and emotional excitement it increases up 60 minute. Breath and anger has a close relation When it is shallow the attacks of anger is high. Its frequency increases. During deep breathing, anger does not get a chance to manifest. If during anger deep breathing or breath control is practiced, the anger will subside. To control anger one should use deep breathing with Khechari Mudra for 10 minutes. 4. Chanting of Mantra - one should will for the pacification of anger and recite the mantra ‘Om Shanti’ 31 times in one breath. It should be repeated for three to nine times. When the anger is not subsiding and the mind is disturbed and aggressed then the recite ‘Om Kshong Kshong’ mantra for 108 times. The recitation of ‘Chandesu Nimmalayra Siddhasddham Mam Disantu’ is useful. 5. Therapeutic Thinking - for the pacification of anger contemplate on these words - “I am not anger. Anger is not my nature.” - For 5 minutes. “If I have become angry I will take the punishment.” - For 5 minutes. “I will not be angry again.” - For 5 minutes. The first result of intolerance is anger. To pacify anger it is necessary to control intolerance. The Anupreksha of Tolerance is very useful for this purpose. Dr. Jajjhar also says that the human brain is like computer. Whatever is fed will be the output. This way Preksha Dhyan is a scientific-spiritual meditation technique whose purpose is - life must develop to its fullest potential. By removing all physical and mental sufferings and ego we should move towards spiritual absorption.A happy and balanced lifestyle is constructed. We have Anekant Vision (Anekant means that what we know is only a part of truth and not the whole truth. So is the case with others. Therefore we should not only respect our view but also of others) so that it is used in everybody’s well-being. What can we do at the moment of anger? If a few drops of water can cool-down the boiling milk, then small experiments can also pacify anger episodes. Lord Mahavir has prescribed one remedy. He says, “go in isolation”. Do not speak. Turn your tongue. Willfully do Kayotsarg. Leave the place of conflict. Start reciting - “I am in peace.” Do right and positive thinking. Try to pass the topic in fun. Become aware. Be responsible. These are some small methods by which one can control himself at the time of anger. In the words of Acharya Mahaprajna - “if this much is achieved then I think we have cross one major milestone of our destination.
